You really can fight wrinkles from the inside out with papaya. It’s beneficial for skin care and repair.

What makes papaya so good? Vitamin C. Papaya has loads of it, and getting lots of vitamin C means more better skin — fewer wrinkles and less thinning and dryness.

The ripe papaya fruit contains large quantities of carotene and the flesh is very high in vitamin A.

There are also small amounts of calcium, iron, thiamine, riboflavin and niacin present in papaya.

It’s low in calories and sodium and high in potassium.

100grams of papaya contains only 32kcal

Papaya has two forms ripe and unripe or green. The ripe fruit is usually eaten raw, without the skin or seeds. The unripe green fruit of papaya can be eaten cooked, usually in curries, salads and stews.
