Mammograms and Radiation
Are we being bombarded with dangerous radiation when we get a mammogram? How much is too much?
A new report from the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement reveals that Americans’ exposure to radiation has increased more than 600 percent over the last three decades. Most of that increase has come from patients’ exposure to radiation through medical imaging scans such as CT scans and mammograms.
When you last had a mammogram were you informed that the radiation emitted by mammography machines actually causes cancer by exposing heart and breast tissue to dangerous ionizing radiation that directly causes DNA damage?
Yes, it’s true: A couple of CT scans can expose your body to as much radiation as standing a few miles from an atomic bomb explosion. This is a simple scientific fact.

Great article… “The Health Ranger” Mike Adams has been saying for a while now that mammograms actually cause cancer. Other sources of radiation…. cell phones and computers. *sigh No wonder the cancer rates are 1 in 2 now!!
Thanks for keeping us informed!

Cadaver studies show that 40% of American women develop DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) the precursor to stage one, estrogen-driven breast cancer. Some will go on to get cancer. I was one of them, and I am glad I had the mammogram that allowed me to seek treatment6, recover and live out my full life expectancy.
Are you really willing to deny your readers the same opportunity for long life by promulgating such wrong information? We don’t know why breast cancer is so epidemic. But we do know that early detection leads to cures. Breast cancer is one form of cancer that is treatable.
Decades of research proves that mammograms save lives because they promote early detection of breast cancer. Definitive information on breast cancer and both conventional and alternative treatments can be found at breastcancer -dot- org.
There is nothing in life that comes without risk; it’s always a question of choosing the least risky option.
Susan, I’m suggesting that thermograms are a safe alternative to mammograms
