Challenging the Change

When you feel a little low

April 29th, 2008 in Keep Sane

Forget the housework for today.

You know how that saying keeps cropping up, one day at a time? Don’t.

Don’t take it one day at a time. Or even one hour at a time. Take it one task at a time.

Tomorrow can feel like an eternity away if you can’t even get out of bed today.

Throw out your huge to-do list.  If you must … plan instead on accomplishing 3 things each day. They don’t have to be great feats either. Writing them down creates opportunities to feel successful when you cross them off.

Appropriate post. I’m 60 in a couple of weeks, do not want a party, but will have dinner out with nearest and dearest. But have suddenly become quite low. 60 and what have I acheived? Well quite a bit in my early years, but feel too old to start a major project now, like studying architecture. I know people do study late into their lives, but I feel overwhelmed by the thought.
